Even the strongest relationships are strained during the transition to parenthood. Lack of sleep, new fiscal concerns, never-ending housework - all while caring for a new baby - can lead to profound stress and a decline in marital satisfaction.
The Bringing Baby Home workshop combines scientific research and hands- on learning to improve the quality of life for babies and children by strengthening their families. It teaches new parents how to gain relationship satisfaction and create healthy social, emotional, and intellectual development for their children. The material is based on over 20 years of relationship research done by Dr. John Gottman at the Gottman Institute in Seattle. Taught by two of Calgary's most experienced postpartum doulas and certified Bringing Baby Home educators, this two day workshop can help lay the solid foundation for your life together as a family.
Cost is per family and includes over 12 hours of class time, supplies and materials, and light refreshments. Babes in arms are welcome.
